Sword in the Stone
Not been in the mood for origami lately but wanted to make sure I entered something for my informal duel, so just made this... Free folding first try. Hope you like it... Wanted to fold something rather unusual ;)Image

Haven't designed anything in ages so thought it was about time to get back into it :)

Butterfly.
Folded from a 50cm square of double tissue. Boxpleated on a grid of 40. Yes it does have legs...
I focussed on getting good colour changes into the design and I think I succeeded. Hope you like it!

This would be a good model to suggest for someone to look at to learn how to do colour changes.

Really cool.

Thank you for your comment.

Very rough hand drawn CP here if your interested. Please tell me what you think :D Its not exactly correct... I changed a couple of small things on the legs while I was folding it. Hope to draw a neater/accurate CP on the computer soon.

The design was a massive upgrade of my old model: http://www.flickr.com/photos/langko/7998840700/
I didn't know much about designing back then but now that I am a fairly decent designer I thought it was time to give the model a redo :D

Scorpion 2.0

Structure the same as last version but added small changes in head, claws, tail and final shaping. Designed and folded by me from 1 uncut square ◻️ Folded from 45cm square of double tissue (orange - black)

Lobster 4.0

This model has been about 2 years in the making. When I first started designing I folded the first version which was rubbish. Then a few weeks later I folded version 2 which was a big improvement. I was happy with that version for a long time untill last year I designed the 3 version to try and get more accurate preportions. It looked better but I still wasn't happy with it :(
So it was time to revisit the design now that I have the experience and this is the result! So happy with this one! :D

This version also has the smaller "swimmer" leg things under the tail which the other versions did not :)

Designed and folded by me from 1 uncut square ◻️ Used 70cm sheet of double tissue.

I was hesitant about appearance of weird hind legs, but when I checked up with Google, it all looks exactly the same as one in real life. Really awesome model. Extremely lifelike! :D

I also just googled the crab because of those weird hindlegs. But I must say you nailed it Langko. Very nice!

Yeah, I only found out about the different legs through another crab model a found on flickr... But, I have come into the habit of googling my models before I design them, to try and get them as accurate as possible. Thanks very much for taking the time to comment, so glad you like my model :D

Ibex

Designed and folded by me from a 50cm uncut square ◻️ of double tissue. Model is completely closed both back and belly. Really happy with this design because it used a mixture of PS, BP and 22.5.
Rock also designed and folded by me from an uncut square of elephant dung paper...
Hope you like it! :)
