First attempt of Jason Ku's Nazgul 8.1:
ImageNazgul 8.1 - Jason Ku by malvin_leo, on Flickr
From 48 cm x 48 cm double tissue treated with cornstarch, shaped with CMC

Ugh. The double tissue I used was made with cheap tissue, and it tore everywhere. The ears are especially bad, and the front legs are way too thin. I'm going to reattempt this with another paper later (tissue-cassava-tissue, to make it less prone to tearing and thicken the legs).

malleon--just so you know, ku himself has said not to use paper that is too thin for this exact reason. another solution is to put some floral wire in the front legs.

Yeah, you are right. I was so used to folding insects that instinctively I made my papers thin. For the next attempt, as I said in the post, I'm going to add a third strengthener sheet made of cassava tissue to increase the thickness and make the paper less prone to tearing. I've seen people done this similarly, only with kraft instead of cassava tissue. The cassava tissue is a really strong paper....

@ wonko: thank you very much !
Sorry, but I won´t publish the CP or diagram for the dragon, because there are many mistakes in the CP,and it is not flat foldable ( and I want to improve the model).

Shuzo Fujimoto "Twisted Paper"

Very easy to fold, but very beautiful in its simplicity.

I'm amazed with your design Origami_Sunshine! I would love to discover how you did it, especially the version that doesn't need MC.

Thank you Gerardo! You've motivated me to start working on my diagram ;) I'm flattered, but it's actually quite simple…

Still, you have to start designing somewhere, right?
