the che and mona designs were a smart idea, too, but they took much more time to fold than this new animal, didn't they?

Of course they did. Each of them had around 800 reverse folds, not to count the time spent for precreasing large grids.. and the hedgehog had around 22 reverse folds

the hedgehog looks very similar to the classic hedgehog of John Richardson.

i just looked up for it, and it has different head, legs, and the cp would differ a lot. only thing that makes them look similar is the spiny pattern on the back. Thanks for commenting : )
