A few of the models I've folded during the pandemic:
Eagle by Nguyen Hung Cuong
From diagrams in
License to Fold
Paper: Single tissue paper treated with MC
Lion by Satoshi Kamiya
From diagrams in
Works of Satoshi Kamiya 2
Paper: MC double tissue
Redpath Pteranodon by Robert Lang
From diagrams in
License to Fold
Paper: Zanders Elephant Hide (30 cm x 30 cm)
Organist by Robert Lang
From diagrams in
Origami Design Secrets, Second Edition
Paper: Zanders Elephant Hide (25 cm by 100 cm)
For the last two, I like the result of using the Elephant Hide, especially with Pteranodon. These models were my first folds using it, and I enjoyed working with it. It was definitely quite a struggle near the end of both models with all the layers. Luckily, Elephant Hide responds very well to wet folding.

Got back into folding last year. The whole lockdown and quarantine thing has helped folding this year.
No luck with making good quality double sided paper though. Tissue foil I don't like. And the tissue paper I have is the bleeding type.
Anyway, some of the models that I folded during the lockdown.
Icarus, Hojyo Takashi [50 cm square of Banana Paper]
Blooming Rose, Naomiki Sato [A4 printer paper]
Swordsman, Hoang Trung Thanh [48 cm Banana Paper]

The Violin by Gen Hagiwara has been on my mind since a long time and with this lockdown time at home, I decided to give it a try. I used double tissue paper, prepared with MC to fold this, paper is 1:4 size.

Wow, you came back to the forum after eight years! Welcome back Ancella
!
Beautiful paper and the fold is going well
. I hope you don't feel offended if I point out to you that you missed a pleat fold in the bottom left and bottom right. Do you see them? Those pleats would help you better shape the bottom of the violin's wooden body.
Hope that helps

That is a wonderful violin, Ancella. Well done!
My latest fold:

Folded from a square of mulberry paper treated with MC
This was my first time using mulberry paper. It was a fascinating experience. It was very shapeable and held a crease much better than the Spritz tissue paper that I used for the eagle. The final details on the model are hard to get just right, so I’ll probably be fiddling with it here and there for a while. I was surprised that despite the thinness of the paper that the staff still ended up being hard to fold!
Also, my order of
Works of Satoshi Kamiya 3 just arrived today! I’m excited to dive into it.

The shaping on this model is excellent! I recognized it right away...(partly because I failed this model earlier
) Wow, WOSK3 is supposed to be good! Have fun!

Thank you! I’ve definitely tried and failed on it before as well. The paper type is definitely essential for the shaping at the end.
I actually forgot to mention that I also got
Origami Insects and Their Kin as well! It’s raining here, and I couldn’t help myself so I folded Lang’s cicada with MC treated mulberry paper (from the same roll as the paper used for the wizard).
Cicada by Robert Lang
The paper suits it so well. I like the slight translucence of the wings that the paper effects. It felt strange not struggling with the legs. I’m really falling in love with this stuff.

Thank you, Gerardo! Ah yes, you've got a good eye. I did goof up on that bit of pleat fold and didn't even realize. Thank you for pointing it out and I am not at all offended.

Folded from a 30 cm square of Zanders Elephant Hide paper
I did a bit of wet folding to shape the shell and plastron. I wanted to get the two halves of the plastron to stay flush with each other, but I couldn’t quite get there. I especially enjoyed folding the pleats for the shell.
