Re: V International Origami Internet-Olympiad
Um... What do the blank spaces mean? I'm not seeing any numbers there. Are there supposed to be anything in the blank spaces?

Re: V International Origami Internet-Olympiad
Is there a special meaning in using "blank" color instead of the "magenta" color associated to the "Corrugation" column? It is the only column using three colors for indicating "Task done" or "Task not done".
Re: V International Origami Internet-Olympiad
Not yet. This chart is just showing the missing tasks. In case we made any mistakes during the sorting.Swapnil Das wrote:Are there supposed to be anything in the blank spaces?
It's simply a cosmetic detail and it is in every column. This color alteration helps distinguishing the adjacent rows.MichelLucas wrote:It is the only column using three colors for indicating "Task done" or "Task not done".

This year I decided to establish a special prize: a collection of my unpublished early works called "Origami with Love".
The award goes to Luc Marnat!
I hope this prize will become a tradition for the future International Origami Olympiads."

Re: V International Origami Internet-Olympiad
Congratulations to the winners! This year's competition was really close and unpredictable.
It's a pity that many awesome folders didn't have have time to complete all tasks.
Please share your thoughts, we'd like to have more feedback.

Re: V International Origami Internet-Olympiad
Thank you to all organizers, jury members and contributors to this V International Origami Internet-Olympiad.
I certainly did not spend as much time as you have done. But I spent beautiful hours in folding, and my collection of beautifully designed models has grown significantly. Thank you very much. I'll try to do better next year

Re: V International Origami Internet-Olympiad
Dear friends!
Yesterday was found one annoying bug that slightly modified top-10.
Do not worry, as all medalists remain in their places and team championship this inaccuracy is not affected.
But still!!! It was lost one of the assessments from one of the judges (of the tortoise and was 14 points). As a result - Yevgeny Sidorov up to 5th place of individual championship, and the final table find below!
Thanks!

Re: V International Origami Internet-Olympiad
This is a quite complicated subject.abrahamMV wrote:What are the criterias for evaluating?
Each judge uses their own criteria based on their experience and overall views. We do not discuss scores until the job is finished and this year we haven't even seen each other's charts before December 16.
Essentially we value both folding techique and artist's interpretation. For example, you can view Peter Stein's detailed working chart here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing. As you can see, he stated his core criteria as expression, precision, paper and photo.
Thank you for bringing up this subject, we will pay it more attention in the next year's task book.
