Dear Origami forum members:

Jousting has begun and voting time has arrived. In the first step the judges will select 44 models which are 50% of all designs received. There are 56 competitors from 22 diferent coutries and 96 models (including the judges models that are not participating in the voting).

All models selected at least with one vote will go to the next round. I hope first results will be ready next week.

Congratulation to everybody who goes to the next step! I am surprise that Miamoto's excelent idea not, but it probably do not satisfy basic rules of the challenge.

The model from Miyamoto is excellent. It has the vote of many judges but at the end it was not enogh for going to next step. However I agree that is a very clever and beautifull model.

As a result of the last voting, no model got the absolute majority,
so, the two with more votes go to ballotage. You could follow this

As we are 13 judges there is no posibility of a tie, so we will have

Yeah, the roundness of the shaping and all the little details really make it a great model.
