ODT#2 Round 1 Crease vs. fluffy

Post by Crease »

I have decided upon the following topics:

1) Emotions (anything that depicts an emotion so could be anything from a clenched fist to a giraffe crying  - some examples of emotions could be curiosity, disgust, amusement, fear, greed, pride etc.)

2) Boxes/Containers (an object that can contain something - could be a vase, tray, bowl, box etc. but plates wouldn't be allowed because they don't really have sides  )

3) Flat tessellations (a tessellation that is 2D so no puffy out bits! )

Rules: I nearly always use one square sheet of paper with no cuts or glue but if you prefer I'm happy to agree with one rectangular piece of paper and for boxes/containers also allowing modular designs and regular polygons e.g. hexagons, octagons, pentagons - let me know what you think!
We will have 20 days to design and post our models from 1st February and can submit as many entries as we like.

Hopefully I have supplied a good range of interesting topics, can't wait to see what you decide upon and design! Good luck!

Hi,
I really like those suggestions. I am going to choose "Boxes or Containers". But I would like to change it a bit. It has to be very unique, something not done before.

That sounds great to me - so shall we say regular polygons and modulars allowed, with extra credit for unique designs? Sounds good fun to me - good luck! :D

Here is my entry - sorry for late reply (camera issues).
First is a mouse container which is probably only suitable for something small like dice or small keys!

Second is my transforming dish which can be adjusted to have curved or straight edges:

Third is my swirl box:

Fourth is my frilly bowl:

Fifth is my pentagon box:

Sixth is my mini pencil pot:

And finally, seventh is my personal favourite, my pencil holder:

As you can see I went a bit design crazy!

Good luck Fluffy but you better hurry up as I think the next round is due to start fairly soon! :D
