Youtube Challenge #4

Post by tadashimori »

Hello everybody!
This is my new origami challenge, this time I'll make a little bit different!

The subject is Mythological creatures, BUT you must make a origami based on a picture from a game or manga or sculpture, etc... The main point in this origami will be how close to the real one you could get! And also theoriginality, how difficult it was to make it and how beautiful it got.

Ok, the rules are the same,

1.Your origami must be a new design made for this contest.
2.You must use a square sheet of paper.
3.No cuts, no glue.
4.Dont copy other people origami!

To make your entry official, just post ONE PICTURE of your origami in this thread.
You can participate with only one model in this contest

It should be something like this:

The contest will end on May 11th! so you have pleeenty of time =)

The prize for the winner is the book Works of Kamiya Satoshi

Well, thats it! Good luck everyone!

PS: Please post the picture and not only the link here! if you use flickr, set the rights to creative commons to be able to do so!

Do not forget to post the picture with the name of the image you based on!

Like in my picture, I did put "Final Fantasy VII" so you could see where was that origami from.

since english is the forum language, there's no need to repeat your topic in portuguese.

I'm sorry but I'm finding it hard to believe that this was mad from one single piece of paper. How can you put so much detail into such a large model from only one piece o paper?

Since you can win the book by satoshi kamiya, I wanted to make a version of one of his models, but simplified, so here is my (divine) boar.

30cm x 30cm wrapping paper and foil
I thought this was the best version and pictures, there are more in my gallery and flickr
