How long does it take for posts to be auto-approved?

I searched in the rules but there doesn't seem to be anything regarding it so I was wondering how long does it take before my posts stop needing the approval from a moderator/administrator before being posted, tried to PM them too but well, that doesn't work either.

Either way, since a mod/admin will have to read this to give me the approval you can actually delete this thread and PM me the answer, no need to post it, thanks!

Three posts need to be approved by a Moderator before your posts come through by themselves.

Oh, thanks!

I think you should add this info to the forum rules, it really threw me off at first.

Well, now there is a topic about it.

Yay!
I thought approving posts was a constant thing, and happened a lot when i joined. At first i thought doing a quick reply got it out of being moderated, and posting a new thread had to be checked, which put me off posting new topics for a while, but then i posted a new topic, and it wasn't checked. My first free post had been my first quick reply, so i had got a bit confused.

The approval of posts is only a very recent thing. But it has several benefits. For example most Spammers can be identified and deleted by Chris and me before the other users of the Forum (except Moderators) see their posts. I guess most of you don't know that we delete several Spam-Accounts per day.

I didn't know you even got them! The origami forum is always very organised and orderly, and it's great to browse, so i didn't know you got spam anything in general. I thought (a bit like me and emoticons not long after i joined) that it happened, people were told, and then it didn't happen. I browse other forums and think "why can't this forum be more like the origami forum" (brilliant example: www.scratch.mit.edu/forums)
I hope this post hasn't been too soppy!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's appreciated the clean look of this forum. ;)

It looks even cleaner if , like me, you have to use the scratch forums regularly.
