The "How to" section

I was reading through old posts for no reason, and I saw the "How to section" mentioned. What was the purpose of this section and why was it removed?
It was what now is the "About the Origami Forum" section. Many moons ago, we had to upgrade the Forum and while at it Saj, our kind Forum host, renamed the sections to more fitting names.
