It's bigger than 6b, its 14.1kb, how do I change that to make it 6?

If it meets the 80x80 pixel requirement and is still too big, try changing the file type. Some file types are naturally bigger than others. Try changing it to a .jpeg or a .gif.

an easy way to resize the picture is to use
Irfan View.
its a free picture viewer with some edit features.
if you open the picture with it, you can resize it by pressing CTRL+R. then you will get a dialog window in which you can enter the new size.

if the picture has already the correct dimensions for an avatar and is still too big, you should try to reduce the colour depth

and use a different file format for saving

thanks 4 the help chris, but illl try this first, if u dont mind ;P

look at the last picture I did... that's the way to change the filetype. then you can choose from different graphic formats.
