You don't have to have an iphone to view this forum or access and edit your posts! I submitted this very post while on a t-mobile vibe! :D
Tell me if it glitches.
If you use a smartphone for this forum, the only bad bit is that the animated smilies aren't animated.

It's accessible on my phone, just not optimized very well. The mobile themes make sites act much more like a "native" mobile application (and much quicker :)

Yep, optimisation would be great, for Android and other mobile platforms as it is very annoying having to zoom in, etc all the time. With optimization it would become very easy for us to access the forum anywhere.

I've never bheard of taptalk, what is it?
EDIT: oh, right another of the many apps available. You're right, it would support this forum (phpbb or something like that)

But unless you've got one of the operating systems or phones mentioned there, it's no use.

It is possible to post on most phones with internet, but they are really slow, or unoptimized, to fit to the phones' screens. If there's a theme for it, it will be a bit better (i don't know anything about themes as my phone doesn't support them)

Can anyone confirm that tapatalk works with the forum? Since the app got a price cut I'm concerning buying the app.
If its not working, can any of the admins get it to work? There are instructions on the Internet page mentioned here to get it done.
Thanks in advance

I've talked to Anna about making an actual forum app from scratch, as I didn't know about tapatalk. After looking into it, it seems it would work on the forum, but I or one of the other admin/moderator would have to activate it. And it would be a hell of a lot easier than making an app.

I'll look into it, and will post back if I can activate it.

Edit: it seems you need FTP access to install it, which, as far as I know, only Sajid(snkhan) has.
tapatalk does support phpbb3, though, which is the software we use.

So which means if Sajid is okay with activating it, he can get it work. So can you talk to him?
The program looks really well for working with forums. Ways easier than zooming in and out and scrolling everywhere.

I just private messaged him asking if it was OK with him, hopefully he'll log on and see it in the next few days.

I explored a bit on on how to make a mobile website using jQuery. Despite it being tricky there are loads of problems if you aren't the Administrator of the site. The first problem I stumbled upon with jQuery is that I couldn't load the login-div into a div in the mobile website html. (it uses Ajax and that doesn't allow you to import data from url's, only from the content from your server)
This is how far I got with this (=not far :P)
Example

Let's hope tapatalk is an option, but I don't really have problems with the scrolling and zooming :D
