Dear Cupcake.
If G is a bottom of the cross, an inside out of paper might be not able to be done. In the bottom of the cross, there seem to be a white part and a black part.

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to ask if someone could please help me with the collapsing of the cross? (I'm not sure how the references work. . .)

Thanks,

Flame

Edit: I also wanted to ask: Are the circles and rivers part of the precreasing as well? I don't think they are, but in some parts it seems like it.

You never actually fold the circles and rivers, they are just a design tool that tells you how much paper goes where.

Oh ok, thanks Origami_8. I was a bit confused on why it was on the cp.

I'm still having trouble with collapsing the cross sadly, even without the river/circle confusion...all I have is this jumble of flaps that looks like some kind of primordial jellyfish...

Someone....please help..

Hello Everyone (again),

I've been experimenting with the flaps on the cp and I found that to move some of the flaps into the right position some extra folds (not found on the cp or it's an edge of the river/circle) have to be made. Did anyone else find this peculiar occurence? :?

The crease pattern is for the base, which are basically only the flaps not shaped etc. Furthermore you don't have to fold the circles from the circle packing and rivers.

Can someone repost the photo diagrams? I have collapsed the base (I think) now I'm stuck on what flaps are which.
