Robert Lang Organist Help

Post by lordpie »

So I have decided to fold the organist, as seen in Origami Design Secrets Second Edition, and I am stuck at step 25. I have done the side of the rectangle that is divided into sixteenths, but the other side eludes me. Has anyone folded this model who can help me collapse the other side? Thank you.

I'm currently away from home and don't have my copy of the book with me, but I might still be able to help. If I remember correctly, most of the collapses in the model are simple Elias stretches.
Mind posting a picture of the step?

And by the way, it's "eludes." ;)

Here is the picture of what I am having trouble on. I have already done the top, the middle, but the bottom is the issue for some reason.

Just do some regular box-pleating with all the diagonal pleated layers closed.
We're all stories in the end.

I had the same problem when I tried this model for the first time. After half an hour I found out that I hadn't done steps 19-23 correctly. You could refold those steps just to be sure. If that turns out not to be your problem, just try to do what Swapnil said.

Ok I will try it again. Sorry for the delay, I was out of town.
