I haven't even started, I just want to know what kind of base I'm looking for...

I haven't started folding yet, just found the references and figured out parts of the model:

Corrections?
Mountain/valley help?

Looks about correct I think. This CP looks pretty easy, so I suggest you to just give it a go.

Well, I tried while a 2 hour car drive over the copy paper printed cp and managed to pull out a Dachshund-Centaur.

I didn't had the photo, so I messed it up a little... but now I think I can do it better.

I had problems with every single part of the model, the hardest cp I tried was Joisel's dwarf; but I'm learning.

I think I'll continue trying it.

i think there are missing creases on this cp.

The cp only gives you the base, then you have to unfold some parts to have the final result, as the volume on the horse body and the limbs.

I think that those two layers on the back legs that keep the rocking pose are a good example.

If you can make Tissue-foil, I'd suggest you to try and fold this again with it. Though it might not be easy to make clean folds, shaping in 3D is going to be a whole lot easier.
