Need Help* John montrolls Elephant : Teach yourself origami

I am folding John montroll's elephant from the book , Teach yourself origami. I got stuck at step 36 which talks about a 3D fold. no matter what combinations of fold i try i never get the out put of step 37. could any one post some pic's on how to fold step 36.

finally folded montroll's elephant..
