Hideo Komatsu's Sheep

Post by apocalogy »

To all respectful forum members,

I've reached step 22 and I have the same exact form, but I don't know what he did to get to step 23. I have provided links to the screenshot of page 3 (this is not a copyright infringement, this is for learning purposes).

If you can give me any directions I'd be grateful. Thanks in advance.

As a respectful forum member, my answer is as follows:

1. No matter what your reasons are for uploading scans of a book: it's a copyright infringement

2. Instead, ask your question and add the book title and author. Other members, who have the book, can then help you out.

3. I do not know what your problem is with step 22. It's simply a "repeat step 16-19". Of course, you are now working on the mirror-image, as is always the case when working on the front and the back of a symmetrical model.

4. I would ask you to remove the files again. This is what I'd expect from a respectful member of the origami community, be it forum or not.

i guess it's my turn for a "chill pill." but this post is very interesting, with the inference that anyone who disagreed with you in the last thread is not "respectful."

step 23 is just a squash fold. if you're having that much trouble with it, i highly recommend that you listen to joshua and do the roman diaz sheep. the hideo komatsu sheep would probably rate as complex, but many folders don't find that much difficulty with it, mostly because he diagrams in such a way that his models seem to fold themselves. the plain truth is that most folders started simple and went complex over time, so it's not too much to ask that you do the same, as it is impractical for the forum to "walk" people through the entire sequence.

oh, and btw, anna and sara are the ones who most frequently make videos to help people. so try not to burn any more bridges if you insist on the hideo komatsu sheep.

@ Sara
I removed the link from my original message because I couldn't remove the mediafire image since I don't have a registered account on mediafire. That said, no one can find it anymore.
Thank you for your help. I didn't pay attention to the 16-19 thing.. I was just following the steps visually.

@ bethnor
You seem to be pretty chilled out to me so I won't recommend a pill needlessly. The "to all respectful forum members" is not intended to mean that those who have disagreed with me aren't respectful although I am aware that that is the way it sounds. It is my way of saying that I don't want them to comment on this post because I don't want any more arguments. Anyway I think the diagram is very clear and the model itself is elegantly simple.. I just had a glitch at this step, that's all. Thanks for your help.

I never thought of myself as a bridge-burner...
