Rock Dragon by Timothy Yao

I want to try to fold Timothy Tao's Rock Dragon from this year's Origami Christmas book, but I am not sure how much of the paper the area on the outside is that is used to make the toes and head(I think they are called grifts). If anyone could help it would be appreciated.

Each one is 1/32 though you can make them bigger if you want shorter limbs.
