Re: Model Requests
Yeah they look a little creepy under an electron microscope, too much detail. Here's a picture of one under a normal microscope.

Re: Model Requests
The one I saw looked like a clear teddy bear. I guess that's kind of why they call it a water bear.

Re: Model Requests
One thing I haven't seen much of are the cryptids (bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, that type of thing). If you have Netflix you could just watch 4 seasons of Destination Truth like I did. One that may be cool is mothman. He has cool wings, with a humanoid type body, and huge eyes.

Re: Model Requests
One notable thing is that he doesn't have moth wings! He has either bat wings, or bird wings. The whole mothman thing came from a reporter making fun of batman. This is the closest thing I could find, but it won't post into the forum, so go to the link, and the second picture is what he looks like. The one thing I would change would be to give him a little more head. I know too much about this huh?

How about one of these, they could be fun. I'm just listing things now, if you want me to stop just tell me to.

I am doing this as a service for people who really want something folded. I would just post things you would really like to see folded, because I am only going to do a few. That moth thing was cool. It doesn't bother me that your posting a lot though, so go ahead.

I just have a question. How ON EARTH are you finding such strange animals?Acorn Man wrote:How about one of these, they could be fun. I'm just listing things now, if you want me to stop just tell me to.

Re: Model Requests
Haha, yeah, I got curious about the smallest mammal, and this was like number 3. I thought it was hilarious, so I looked it up on YouTube, and there it is.I just have a question. How ON EARTH are you finding such strange animals? That thing is so odd! I cant believe its even real, it looks like a cartoon!

Re: Model Requests
Btw, I think the mothman would be awesome and the jerboa would be great too. If you're more curious about the jerboa, all I know is that they keep than as pets in Japan, but we know berry little about them. I do believe that are feom Pakistan.

Re: Model Requests
I think the Mothman could be done using some box-pleating for the body and pleats for the wings. I can see quite a simple CP...

Re: Model Requests
I'm not sure if you want to design something that has never been done?
But: waterbear has been done. Jerboa has been done (lionel Albertino, victoria serova, and by either ronald koh or bernie peyton)
The glaudanus thingy was done by anermak and was part of the latest olympiad.
There is a topic here on the forum: "Origami animals that haven't been done yet". You should check it out. I spend some time on it, including links to pictures.

Re: Model Requests
How about the great grey wolf Sif, from dark souls?

It's a wolf with a great sword in his mouth, and probably my favorite video game boss =)

Re: Model Requests
I think that could be a very cool model. I may consider it. I will definitely need to find more pictures of it though.
