Question regarding human figures

I want to make a basic hollow human shaped origami structure. I was wondering if anyone knows if this is possible. Are there any examples around somewhere that I can take a look at? Any helpful books that anyone can suggest?
Thanks for the help!

I'm not sure what you mean by a 'hollow' structure, can you explain further?
There's no shortage of human figures in origami - Akira Yoshizawa came up with a lot of interesting frog-base human figures, and today there's several box-pleated human figure forms available.

Check out the works of Hojyo Takashi and Neil Elias.

This isn't a hollow figure, nor is it very 3D, but I am extremely fond of this human model:

I use it to make anime dolls, by the way. I should post some pictures...
