In this case ODS does not hold the answer, but ReferenceFinder does. I used
ReferenceFinder sequences to find 2 key reference lines and then derive the
others from those.

I don't know which reference lines Lang uses but I'm gonna tell a bit more about the method I use for getting the creases:

With reference finder I got a folding sequence (look earlier in this thread) for the red dot and with that I got the red and the green line depicted here:



The reason I chose this specific dot is that in this CP this dot is closest to the diagonal so it was the best trade-off between accuracy and easiness of getting the dot by folding.

With the green line it is easy to get the 11ths vertically.

The blue line in the picture above is at 1/4 so it's easy enough to get.
With the red and the blue line together (and a bit good eye judgement) it is possible to find all the other horizontal creases.

After few days trying to fold this rose Iv'e managed to fold it.
I've printed the c.p on printing paper.I have to fold it again from another paper but at list It starts to look a bit like a rose....

i agree with polop.although i can collapse the pattern into a base in less than 10 minutes,but shaping the rose took about 1 hour +

Since this CP is so easy, can somebody give a not-CP-expert some hints on where to begin. I have read through the whole topic, but don't quite see where to begin after having made all the folds. Maybe some pictures?

I feel really stupid now. i tried to make this by printing the CP and couldnt do it. it seemed to me for a long time that extra diagonal creases were needed so after trying for ages without them i gave up and put them in but it still wouldnt collapse properly... it seemed like it ought to but it wanted to spiral into itself and so got stuck.

I am so gutted that you guys managed this so easily and i am sat here with a ball of wrinkled paper.

EDIT: I hadnt at that stage seen the flickr pics. Maybe i can do it now... i think i was trying to be too clever

I'm wondering, when you guys guys fold it, do you twist the layers all the way to the right? Because that's what I did, and I think that it turns out fairly nice~!
