In Kasahara's Origami Omnibus there is a hexahedron made from rectangles with a 2 sqrt 2:1 ratio. I can't find instructions in that book on how to fold that rectangle. How do you do it? I searched online for a site about rectangle folding and found other ratios but not this one.

If you ask me that's just a silver rectangle (e.g. A4, A5,...= 1:√2) cut in half lengthwise (=1:2√2).

^Here's a simple way to get two of them from a square. (Cut along the blue lines, and the two wider rectangles are what you'll want to keep.)

Thank you both! That math thing - I would never have thought that origami has so much math in it. Also, that diagram is just what I needed. Now I can make my hexehedron!
