Looking for good apple (Fruit) diagrams

Hey there, recently I was trying to find some origami apple diagrams but I've been having some trouble...

I found 2 links though:

But the first one seems a bit too 2 dimensional, and the second one seems kind of basic.

I was looking for a diagram for a 3d apple that looks pretty good.

I saw that there were some apples listed on the Origami Database, but I have no idea how I could get ahold of any of those books or magazines.

Anyways if anyone could help point me toward some diagrams or books with apples I'd be very thankful.

Fujimoto's Apple is 3-dimensional and about as good as you could wish for. If you're a member of the BOS, all three of the sources mentioned in the database should be available from the library.

What's the "BOS" and how do I become a member?

Thee'BOS' is an abreviation for the 'British Origami Society'. It is one of the biggest origami societies in the world! You can sign up via their website. When you join you become a member and recieve monthly (or bi-monthly I forget) magazine as well as invitations to conventions and what not. Plus you have access to ordering some of their great books and products.

I'm a little confused though on how finding diagrams in the BOS works.

When doing a search for apple in the BOS Publications Database there is a result for:
Apple Fujimoto, Shuzo BOS Magazine 102 October 1983 (page 8 )

But I don't see any BOS Magazines in the Libary

I don't see that issue in supplies either

I was wondering is there a way to backorder this issue? And which one is the one I'm looking for?

Also what does Shuzo Fujimoto's apple look like?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm just really interested in making an origami apple.

Supplies doesn't have all the old issues of the magazine, and they aren't going to be reprinted. I'm pretty sure they are all in the library, but it looks like the list on the website is just for books. The best thing would be to join and contact the librarian - the Apple may even be available as a separate set of diagrams.

Membership of the BOS is a "must" for anyone who it serious about origami and wants to meet others and find out what's happening in the origami world.

Fujimoto's Apple is made from a square and ends up 3-dimensional. It even has a stalk. Not too difficult, though not for complete beginners either. It's a classic model and very satisfying to make.

Thanks for all of your responses. I sent a message to the librarian and I'm waiting for a response now. I'll let you guys know how everything turns out. I really appreciate everyone's help.

*Update*
I sent a message to the BOS inquiring about the apple diagram and was contacted by Mark Bolitho who is a very nice man. He helped me find just what I was looking for and is super cool!

The diagram itself actually looks very hard, but that just makes it more interesting.

Anyways thanks for the help. I'm not so good at origami yet, but it's fun to improve. You guys are really cool too.

Sara Adams has a video tutorial for Fujimoto's Apple. Just search it up on Youtube. For a moderately experienced folder, it is quite easy, and I reccomend it to anyone.
