in LaFosse's book advanced origami his instrustions are a bit different from the picture of the completed model... or at least that's how it appears to me. I'm having trouble with the panther mask.
so my question is how to get the eyes folded as shown in the picture.
thanks in advance!

Thanks I appreciate it. Yeah Micheal's works all have a huge artistic factor that aren't diagrammed but the eyes are really throwing me off. there's some extra folding and a flap of paper that appears to be missing in his picture that connects from the top of the eye. if i have time i'll put up a picture but I should stop procrastinating and get back to studying.

OK here's pics.

I highlighted the flap that appears to be missing in lafosse's. OK thanks

err, I know this doesn't help much, but that flap you highlighted red extends under the squash fold at the bottom of the eye. that entire area becomes the large part of the eye. The pupil is formed from the area where you have the two little triangles of the squash fold...essentially, lafosse just rounded out and curved that flap, rather than squashing. I think...I could show you, but dont have access to my copy or my webcam where I am...

hey thanks for the info guys!
@ FrumiousBandersnatch. when you say that the red flap extends under the squash fold she you mean that it's covered by the completed eye? cuz if that's the case i don't understand how that's possible because the free edge of that flap connects to the top middle folded corner. So I've been able to fold the eye like in his picture only that flap is still there. I'm gonna conclude it's just the angle the picture is taken from.
thanks again
