Water Buffalo - Nguyen Hung Cuong

Post by doctorbeans »

Hello :) This is my first time asking for help, I really want to do this model :)

I am currently stuck on step 85.

Or maybe I didn't do step 84 right, that's why I'm lost at step 85.

Here is what my model looks like right now:

Diagram can be found here:

I couldn't find any thread like this, but if there is one, I'm sorry >_<

Thanks in advance!

Its hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like you have step 84 right. In step 85 you are just wrapping the top layer around the outside of the front leg. I think in step 86 of the diagrams the front leg should be white, not coloured, maybe this is confusing things.

My Two Cents - I haven't folded this one....

Step 84 says "TWO layers above and one below" so it is a bit asymmetric.

Step 85 - Because of the TWO layers, maybe it should Not be white (?).
Jst in case, you might undo the reverse fold in Step 84 , and carefully refold with the two layer/one layer approach. Then do the wrap (reverse one layer) in Step 85 to see if you get Step 86 ...

And let us know...

Thanks to both of you for replying so swiftly :)

I undid the step 84 i did and carefully dissected the layers of that limb that was giving me trouble. Sure enough I found that 2 layer/1 layer that I missed yesterday. I was hard to see I guess since I am using 1 colored paper.. I think I got it right, hopefully I won't hit anymore roadblocks :)

I will try to make and show my rendition to all of you when I am done.

Thanks again! (I'm sorry I can't take pictures right now because my camera is not with me).

No problem about the camera. I don't want to see the intermediate steps that are folded correctly.... until you complete the model and you are ready to teach us how to fold it !

I don't get how to fold the angle bisector on step 20,I got the two that run along the line that's running diagonally through the paper.Any reference points I missed there?
