need help simplifying diagrams

Post by madarko »

just finished these crucifix diagrams but i had to split step 12 into 12, 12a & 12b.

any ideas how to simplify the explanation and cut it down to just one step?

any other comments or criticisms are welcome too
have fun.

I had a quick look at the diagrams, and they look nice already.

Re your question:

I'd probably remove 12a, I can't see any information in it that isn't in 12b. Also, you might want to indicate the layer in step 13 with some X-ray lines. I'd keep 12b, though, it's a nice clarifier and it was probably lots of work to draw it. :)
If you want to remove another step, I think removing step 12, and using step 12a with the extra lines of step 12b (2 reference circles, 1 arrow) would be a good way to go. [I.e. remove 12 and 12a, but don't have a quite as zoomed in perspective in step 12b.]
