help with my first ever attempt at a CP (very easy pattern)

Hello all, I am attempting my first ever crease pattern. It is the lion found http://design.origami.free.fr/bestof/go/lion/lion.htm here.

I got all the pre-creasing done, but am having trouble collapsing. I collapsed the head fine, but am having trouble with the bottom part where the legs and tail are.

Also not sure where to go from the base since I have the head done and have no idea how to make it look like the completed module.

Also is there an easy way to tell which creases are mountains/valleys?

I just double creased them all because I didn't know which is which :)

Thanks all!

It is easy to tell if some creases are mountain or valley (for example, assuming the colored side is facing you, the closest creases to the edges are generally mountain, and creases emanating from a point or forming pleats generally alternate mountain/valley), but much of this comes with experience. I remember having trouble with the hind legs for this model too-the CP does not show every crease and it also has some mistakes in the hind legs. Don't treat the CP as sacred-just keep messing with it until it works.
