Is it just me or are steps 32-34 problematic? I'm having a very tough time on these steps ... it just doesn't work out no matter how hard I try! Has anyone else received Tanteidan Convention 16 that can help?

No issues...
It doesn't lie flat
Initially I did struggle on the same steps, but could easily figure out the work around.
(I will create photo diagrams in a day or two)
Cheers!
Have a happy folding

I am stuck on steps 32-38.
I would be really grateful for help.
Basically I seem to have got to step 35 ok.
I am able to fold step 35 but in mine at step 36 there is a triangular flap underneath from previous steps that is opposite and below the shaded one. This is is not showing in the diagrams.
Maybe I did step 35 wrong.
What I did in step 35 was basically fold over the right side to the left while at the same time putting my finger in the left flap and lifting this up and flattening to get the shaded triangle sticking out on the right.
I don't understand what step 36 does.. if its unfold to step 35 that cant be because step 37 does not look like step 35

Ive tried this model a few times, and am stuck on step 61. All the layers of the front legs are on the top of the model as per step 59. When i go to release some of the trapped paper.. there is no extra layers under the top flap. I lift it up to check and theres nothing i can pull out.. im confused. Anyone have any insight, or a video of this step alone? Anything would help! Thanks a bunch!

i really don't know if it helps but i made a note on my diagrams on step 61 when i was folding it that said.. something like
free the flap and turn the paper inside out at the front and the back.

I got stuck too but then figured it out so I'm going to write this for anyone else who gets so the steps will be easier:
step 32-33 the model doesn't lay flat, you have to pull on the line with the dot on it until it opens up to a shape resembling the diagram, keep in mind that it's kind of 3D. Proceed straight to step 34.
34- align the yellow sides and pink sides making a straight line like in the next diagram, this will make the model lay flat.

35- a kind of swivel fold I guess (just follow the diagram)
36-37 Basically you have to unfold while pushing the point from underneath, the model will be in 3D with two triangular sides and one trapeze. Step 37 shows how it looks in 3D.
38- Flattens the model out, just fold like shown in the diagram. I found it easier to fold the line connecting to the bottom point first, then make the triangle on top and after that adjust the back so it looks neat.

Does anyone know if 50cm elephanthide will be ok for this, or would VOG/crumpled paper be better?
Or Unryushi?
