Roman Diaz's Roc (Mythological Eagle) Help

Post by The Average Folder »

I'm having trouble with step 73 in Roman Diaz's Roc (Mythological Eagle) . I just don't see how the sink can be done. It seems like there is not enough paper. Any and all help is appreciated
Diagrams are found in Origami Essence, which is a truly great book that I recommend you buy, if you don't have it already . It can be bought here

Some pictures of my progress:

i'm not sure what you need help with. the third picture would seem to suggest you are no farther than step 74.

Step 93 doesn't have a closed sink. Maybe you meant step 83? uh, or step 73. Both of those have sinks in them. From your pictures I'm guessing step 73.

In step 73, there *isn't* enough paper. You've got to add a gusset stretch, like the example to the upper right. This is kind of like a half-unit elias stretch, if you know what that is.

Hmm, in step 75, where did it get 8 edges? I have twelve on my model...
