Dear all,

can any friend teach me how to fold Step 34 for the Orang Utan (designed by Quentin Trollip)?

Thanks a lot
George

A closed unsink sounds formidable, but it's not quite as bad as you'd expect. The idea is to pop out the point without unfolding anything else.

In this step, the point you need to pop out is right at the bottom.

Push up on the point to reverse it's direction. It will be jutting towards you instead of away from you.
Image

Now just flatten it upwards and you will wind up with the proper step.

Hopefully this helps; let me know if it doesn't. Have fun!

At step 55, your model should look like this:
Image

You want to fold this corner to the left, but it's trapped, connected to the top.
Image

Pull down and to the left to untrap the layer.

Flatten the fold, and you should be good to go.

If your model doesn't do this, or doesn't look the same, you probably folded something wrong in the previous steps. If so, take a picture so we can see what you have and hopefully figure out your problem.

Have fun!
