Was a diagram for this model ever published?

It seems to be in "Origami Tanteidan 1st convention" and it seems to have been distributed to JOAS members during 2004, and the CP is in Origami Tanteidan Magazine #79

I see.... so the chances of me acquiring a copy are probably not very good?

The one in "Origami Tanteidan 1st convention" seems to be different from the one i was thinking of. Is the diagram that was distributed to JAOS members the same as the CP in Origami Tanteidan magazine #79?

If there's a diagram in the 1st Tanteidan Convention book it will be of Hojyo's earlier, multi-part violin player.
The gift to JOAS members in 2004 was a calendar featuring crease patterns for seven models, some of which were also
partially diagrammed (including the new one piece violin player).
So I don't think full diagrams for this model exist yet.
The crease pattern in Origami Tanteidan magazine 79 is for the same violin player that appears in the calendar. The partial diagrams are not included, however. #79 is still available, I think, but you would have to order the whole of volume 14 to get it:

There are complete diagrams for this model.
I don't think they are in any book. Just a small booklet for the model. I think Icarus may have been done like this too but I'm not sure.

That's good news. Can the small booklets be purchased anywhere? I wouldn't mind picking up Icarus as well.

i've considered buying volume 14 of Origami Tanteidan, but paying 42 dollars plus the cost of an international money order for a just one specific crease pattern really doesn't appeal to me.
There's also the fact that i probably couldn't wrap my small mind around the crease pattern.

Icarus got a detailed diagram of 272 steps (yes, 272) on 25 pages.

The Violinist has 115 steps, the pages with diagrams are numbered 1-11.
The pages with diagrams are numbered 1-24 for the Icarus.
Sorry if this is a moot point.
I would suggest contacting JOAS about getting the diagrams and skip the cp.

can anyone explain steps 110 and 113 of this model?

in this steps you have to lock the pleats for the robe.
to do so put the two first pleats(from the left of the model) onto the last two pleats(from the right of..),look at the darkened area on the right pleats, after "re"make the pleats only in this area, with the 2 layers of paper, it will lock de robe.
now work with your feelings to give volume to the robe
for step 113 you have to move the right hand up(the valley fold)
