Printing Crease Pattern to a Full Page

Post by hobbestheprince »

For some reason my printer is printing a cp with a blank border. I've tried putting the image into Word and resizing it, but parts are going off the page. Is there a method to size the cp so it goes across the whole sheet?

I don't have a vector program to redraw it, so I have to use the image.

Open up word 2003, and at the top (between the sheet and the bar where you decide the size of the letters and such ) there are a slide with a bunch of numbers and 2 small arrows. resize the cp to desired size (a little smaler than the sheet), then drag those smal arrows so they point directly at the black borders of the cp. Print, cut of the unnesesary paper and you´re done.

Ah so I just change the margins then ... good stuff, thanks :-)

I'm trying to avoid having to cut any paper, as I am folding from a rectangle ... I'll see what happens.

Well, it kinda worked. Unfortunately there is a bit of paper I would need to cut :( I was hoping to have it take up the whole page so I can fold right from that. I guess I could try tracing it, but I'm not sure if that is going to work.

While using Paint do this:

- Copy CP in Paint.
- Put the borders around exactly around the CP (probably something trivial ^^)
- Then go to File -> Page Settings (I have the dutch version so I don't know if it is called this)
- There you should see Adjust Scale. Click the spread option and put in 1 by 1 page.
- There may be some room left still, so remove the margins too. Set them all to zero.

Now print. Afaik this should work.

Good luck :)

Ah, I will try that. A friend of mine has Illustrator, and I was going to e-mail him to help out ... but if paint does the trick, then that would be great :-) Thank you.

Still had some white, but I think I know why.

A printer needs some white because the rollers grab the paper. I guess I will have to trim that little area.
