Howdy all- I've got a project coming up and I am looking for different Salmon models.

I am only familiar with this one-

But that one is really only a good model of a Sockeye or maybe a Pink Salmon.

If anyone knows of any designs for River fish like Salmon or Trout, I would really appreciate hearing about them, even if they are just photos without diagrams, I'd still love to see them.

Hi all, I just wanted to get some help with steps 8-11 of the salmon that Goku posted a link to. I understand step 8 and 9, but the construct seemingly formed via those steps seems to be a complete anomoly of the paper. Any help?

Anyhow, as far as I know, all the origami salmon have been sockeye salmon, as they are so distinguishable, and have that cool color-changed head.

I haven't seen any other salmon varieties or trout or anything.

Hey, Jared, just so you know, you can delete my posts. I figured it out. Apparently, you petal fold the rear layers, not the near layers.

Haha, seriously though, I'm not a moderator/administrator. And really, there is no real reason to delete posts unless you made them by mistake (triple-posting for instance).

Sorry, forgot. For some reason I thought you could delete my posts. Probably because of my post in the "Ryu Zin" topic that it seemed you had deleted. You know the one.

This one's good, and the base is easily adapted into a variety of trout species.

A grayling model would be great, wouldn't it?

This diagram was mentioned before, read posts carefully. By the way, Petr's salmon is very good, I like it.

Sorry, Ondrej, I guess I just skipped over that one...

Anyway, I've designed a catfish that I'm working on diagrams for that might be good. It most closely resembles the Flathead Catfish (pylodictis olivaris) that grows to a great size and can be found lurking in large streams across North America. If I ever get them done, I'll post them.

could probably be adapted into a nice model of a variety of fish species. It's one of the only models I know of with a nice dorsal fin.

Any new salmon desings show up?
