Hi,

I am going away for a few days soon and I am looking for some great diagrams on the web to make during my trip. I have many books but have folded almost all of them. It would be nice if they were complex.

Thanks

Print out a CP and bring it along. Minimum weight, and guaranteed to give hours and hours of endless fun! :P

For annoying complexity, I guess you can't go wrong with Robert Lang's Praying Mantis. One of the steps is reputedly impossible to do. You can find this diagram at http://www.origami.com. While you're there, take a look through all the other complex model diagrams too.

I was being sarcastic. :D

The antennae steps are somewhat weird if you try to follow the directions exactly.

When I was young and stupid (three months ago),
I tried the praying mantis from a printer A4 sheet...
...
I jumped over some steps !
but the result was really good (if not watching the top of the head!)

(***I am still young and stupid***)

Yeah the problem with Lang's Mantis I is that it's easy to tear the head if you're not careful. Lang's Mantis II does not have that problem, and it's a better design IMO. However you have to use foil or a very thin paper for the second one, but it's straightforward-- alot of boxpleating type open sinks.

I have opened up a sticky-post at the diagrams section to show some webpages, where you can get free diagrams. it seems to be a common question. I just copied the webpages from this topic to the new one. the advantage of the new topic is, that the sticky post won't move downwards :)
