I know there's Joseph Wu somewhere out there, but is there any other Canadian folders on this site?

Yes, I'm in Vancouver. Where in Canada are you?

(I've moved this topic to a more appropriate forum.)

I'm from the other side, in Nova Scotia... but I'm going to be in Vancouver from the 3rd to the 11th, I think... maybe I'll see you

oh, and btw, I made your dragon. This is my second attempt:

That can be arranged if you like. Contact me privately if you're interested.

What part of Vancouver are you from? If you say Downtown...

Close enough. I'm about 5 minutes from downtown.

Well, I'm just a kid... coming with my parents... so I don't really know if I'm going to get to see you :( Maybe I still will... who knows... But most of those days I will be at my grandmothers in Downtown

PS. Do you know how to make Komatsu's Owl? Because I'm trying hard to figure it out

Hi!

Quentin Trollip moved to Canada in January, but I don't know where.
Maybe Joseph has had contact with him?
Take care!

This is the first I've heard of it. With the sheer size of our landmass, it's hard to keep in touch with people in this country. For example, over 5000 km separate me and Cupcake! ;)

You certainly are right about that... It just so happens that it is very hard to find out where some one lives when you don't know them... I never even heard of Joseph before I joined this site!

Everyone seems to want to move to either Canada or Australia, we have a lot in common.
Really big land mass, ever such diverse geology, really good lifestyle- and pretty small populations.
The main difference is you have better skiing (colder weather) than us.

My connection to Canada?
My father lived on PEI at the begining of WW2 training aircrews in meteology :)

Please define "newbie" (what is the best model you ever folded). I too was a newbie folder when I first joined, but this forum has taught me a lot!

Finally, someone close by!

A few weeks back I bought an 'Origami set' at a local book store for eight bucks. It came with some paper and a small diagram book (about what I expected for eight dollars). From that book I have made several of 'Polly's Parrot' and 'The Kabuto'. I am a newbie. I am comfortable with that. I enjoy Origami. It holds many possibilities.

Ps. I used to live in Nova Scotia (Halifax).

Trust me, you will learn a lot if you ask around on the forum. Search around for diagrams on the internet, and if you get stuck, just ask! :D
