You also can don't have to make the connections 2 units long any more -- Jittlov has shortened them slightly -- That's how he solves the problem that a dollar is a little too short compared to the original CP.

I'll have to fold another one now. Gotta find me a crispy dollar...

Great observation! The dollar model would make a great display item. You have made his engine perfectly. Would you be able to post the changes? And is it easier than the original CP engine? You really are a genius! And to make the wheels rounder, would it help if you used a pencil to round them off?

Argh! Anyone figure out how Jittlov makes such a nice engine? Then engine on Jittlov's train is much smoother and more elegant than the one made from Lang's CP. I can't seem to replicate Jittlov's engine. =( Anyone have a hint for me?

Try modelling the engine from the inside to make it more rounder. At least that's what I did with mine. Also, do not forget that your train is from a dollar bill too, making it harder to work from (since it's rather small). You could try folding it from a bigger rectangle. Your wheels are extremely nice though.

Ah, you misunderstand. The picture is what I want to end up with, and is different from Lang's CP. I was hoping someone else had some tips for modifying the engine like in the picture.

But aren't dollar bill proportions different to the proportions needed for Mooser's original Train?

Yes, very slightly. The original Mooser Train CP is 12 X 32, which is a ratio of 3 to 8. The dimensional ratio of dollar bill is roughly 3 to 7. So in order to make the train work from a dollar, you have to shorten either the cars or the junctions (or both) slightly. Take a look around this thread and see if that helps.

Will someone help me on how to collapse the engine of the train and make the wheels. Pictures will help greatly.
