No worries! This is a slow forum (unless you get the kids excited about something), so sometimes it takes several days to get a response.
If you want, I'd be happy to step you through the model. Don't feel bad about not being able to decipher the diagrams, they're not drawn all that well. If not, then best of luck to you on whatever model you decide to fold next!
Have fun!

Re: David Derudas' Farfalla (Butterfly) - Please Help
I do love this particular butterfly model, but I also recently stumbled across some of Michael LaFosses' designs and have had great luck with them so far. I made his "Butterfly for Alice Gray" a couple of days ago, struggling at first to get the abdomen right (again, based on a diagram), but wound up with a few great-looking 'flies. Today (actually just a few minutes ago) I found a website called "Origami now!" with video tutorials of designer Michael LaFosse folding origami -- I went through the 17-minute "Alexander Swallowtail Butterfly" and made a display-worthy one on my first attempt!
So, maybe with a few more successes under my belt, I will take another stab at the Derudas design -- I am not one to give up easily, so may eventually ask for help again.
