Hi everybody I have a question regarding phoenix 3.5 (no i´m not asking for material)
I´m ready to make the final version with good paper but I have noticed diferences between many outcomes and not just from me
the wings and the tail
the wings on kamiyas don´t have as many feathers or spikes on the bottom all elses (including mine) end up with thre or four extra points
the tail kamiya´s phoenix tail is way up right in the back and most i have seen including mine is lower.
the only reason I ask this is because this is my favorite model of all and I want to get it just right any ideas why this happens? the yellow phoenix is impecable!

I am not sure about the points on the wings. But, the tail can be crimped upwards instead of coming straight down before the tail pattern is folded. Hope this helped

I've never had a problem of too many points, but extra points are easy to hide with a sink or reverse fold. Or, you can just use them for extra feathers.

I'm still having problem with the Wing.
Kamiya has folded three types of wings.
The first type is:

And the last type:

I'm not sure that my "first type" is the same as "third type", but I'm sure the "second type" is the one Kamiya folded in the video

Kamiya has folded three types of wings.

Im sorry but i think that he has only made 2 types of wing folds
the third type is not a phoenix made by kamiya if you look closely the braid on the tail of kamiya´s phoenix is of 14 sections plus the tip
and on the one you mention as the third type of fold it only has only 11 plus the tip. all around those wings were trying to mimic the second type of fold which is the same as the one he does in the famous video.
I am so stressed because I have everything so well deciphered except the wings thats why I have not made a definitive fold

Actually his username only consists of two Chinese (?) characters, but the forum isn't that good in displaying those correctly unfortunately...

Yes they are chinese characters but i dont speak chinese.
I typed them as kanji 飛(hi)flying 竜(ryuu) dragon...
anywho, here is my sad, sad half phoenix half sheet of beatiful paper I found today waiting for me to figure out the exact way to fold the wings

(I made a mistake in one of the folds ha ha ha)
