Tracing paper 40x40 cm.
It's quite small, I want to fold it again from a 60x60 square.

Re: What have you folded lately?
oh
do you happen to have any tips on how to keep it from ripping? i tried to make Bahamut with it the other day and it ripped to shreds around step 130
i just bought some rice paper today, you should try it sometime.
its like tracing paper and origamido mixed, its really cool. to get the layers to stay together i iron it on a low temp, like 5 maybe.

paper choice for this model is actually a little hard. you require something quite thin and strong, as the belly and crotch tend to rip, and the arms get quite thick as well. however, the legs are quite flimsy and it's hard to otherwise position them in a way that's not awkward. at the same time you don't want the paper too thin or the model will lack "weight." almost certainly kamiya used wires and glue in display versions.

Why not upload them somewhere else, like imageshack?Baltorigamist wrote:I folded Satoshi's Wizard and a platypus I desgned the other day. I don't have a Flickr yet, so no pics.

Re: What have you folded lately?
Here is the closest thing to a gallery I have. Just a few pics, but it encompasses most of my subject material for folding.

Yes I did design a Barthandelus--it took me 5 months. But it can be folded in 9 hours.

Here in Chile is almost New Year, and I'm still doing origami. Today in the morning I folded the Crane of Román Díaz and I'm very impressed with the result.

I'm happy to report I had paper in my hands as the clock struck midnight.Beleg Cúthalion wrote:Here in Chile is almost New Year, and I'm still doing origami.
