Re: Eric Joisel - Self-Made Man
Here you are - partial diagrams by Andrey.

here is a larger picture.
Hope this helps.
Now please, just a note for the future - I don't know if your using a translator to post here or what, but its really hard to understand your posts. this is an English speaking forum - even if English isn't your first language you need to at least try to make what your trying to say make sense, otherwise your not going to get any help. Also, please stop begging for things. All you need to do is ask, and someone will help you. Not "please please please please please please please help me I reaaaalllllyy need help figuring it how to do something in Eric's model"
First of all, we don't know what the hell you are talking about. Be specific with your problem. Asking how to precrease the model correctly doesn't cut it. You precrease it correctly by having experience with crease patterns and being able to crease accurately, there is nothing we can say or do to help you with that besides "have patience, grasshopper". Second, by the time we have read the first 50 pleases, we've lost interest and/or forgotten what you were asking in the first place.

Re: Eric Joisel - Self-Made Man
You don't seem to have read my entire post, but thank you for explaining more of your problem
Step 8 is your grid for creasing the CP onto your paper. Just fill in diagonal creases noting reference points on your grid. You don't need to precrease everything at first. I recommend though, since you seem to be new to crease patterns, some simpler ones before you attempt this one. Cp's don't get you to the folded figure, there is still a lot of shaping to be done afterwards - Eric's models are some of the most intense shaping sequences next to Kamiya's. I have some simple crease patterns on my Flickr account, both based of 22.5, and some circle packing ones (those are rather difficult, though). I also have some crease patterns that aren't of my models on there, you could try those too
Anyways, back to what you do after step 8: just fill in what you see on the crease pattern. You don't necessarily need to precrease the entirety of the Pythagorean stretches, just the major creases - you'll get the hang of what to or not to crease once you've done a few crease patterns. good luck.

Re: Eric Joisel - Self-Made Man
I have made this in various papers - lithography paper, a huge sheet of watercolour paper and even copy paper - the geometry is interesting and it contains one of my favourite "magic" collapses - the "partial" design above does not work as well as the CP from the Joisel book IMHO
I fold therefore I am.

New tutorial of the self made man. This is the first part. The second one comes today or tomorrow.
I used the crease pattern by Artur Biernacki.
