What would be the ultimate origami present?

Some one that is not related to origami just asked me this. I have my ideas but a general opinion would be useful.

Ultimate present for a person who is into origami, or ultimate model to fold as a present for someone else?

For someone who is into origami, perhaps all the books by all the big names. Lang, Kamiya, Joisel, etc, etc.
Plus a hefty supply of all the good types of paper, already cut into squares.

Ah... Well as everyone would say, the Ryujin 3.5 probably. It just commands awe at the pure sight of it. I think that to a non-folder, it almost seems impossible. In my personal opinion, probably Kamiya's models. His sea turtle for instance. If you dont want complex, there's money folds (well you can fold pretty much anything perfectly Froy) but money folds (as simple as they are) are super awesome to the eye of a non-folder.

Stephan Weber's bull is quite impressive. People also like birds that have feathers(i.e. phoenix 3.5, Cuong's Eagle, Quentin's Eagle are all quite majestic.

An action model is always fun, people love them and can play with them, without having to take special care of them. I'd say magic ball or flasher hat

From what I've observed, people not into origami are impressed by just about anything, complex or not. I found that geometrical (flower tower), modular (FIT) or action models (flapping crane) are very appreciated. My go-to model for anyone would be Valerie Vann's rose cube, though I'd be more inclined to ask what the person likes and just fold that instead.

The best would probably be something suited to their personality or hobby or something the love. The best origami ever presented to me, though not the most complex, was a hanging monkey. It was best because I love monkeys. Personal beats impressive in my book...

To me the best gift is one that suits the occasion. Otherwise a Magic Ball is always the favourite . Every single person i have given it to loved it!

Like fncil said, personal is better. Favorite animal, favorite color, that sort of thing. And I've come up with some nice original designs trying to make something for my wife on anniversaries or birthdays, valentine's, christmas, etc

I've framed up some tesselations and given them as presents. They present like real artwork and come out very impressive.
