Within the diverse realm of origami, we are all fortunate to have exposure to a great many wonderful & ingenious models of origami owls .
It may be somewhat more appropriate to opine as to which one " we like the best ", as opposed to " this is the best " .
Obviously, a very subjective opinion , that may only be partially validated when one has actually folded a particular model, oftentimes time & time again .
While anybody can fold an owl, few can fold the complex owls to a superior level of completion.
Fewer yet are able to design one .
As previously stated, there are several remarkable origami owls.
Roman Diaz's " Buho ", Bernie Peyton's " Owlet" , Blakiston's fish owl by Katsuta Kyohei, and in it's own way, Komatsu's great horned owl are all examples of outstanding designs.
Personally, I cannot say which is the best . They are each magnificent in their own way, we are fortunate to have access to them.
May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,
with all its peaks & depths, as well as Origami .

Thanks!

I haven't drawn a CP for this one yet, as I'm planning to see if I can improve it first. And yes, it is box-pleated.
