Wow Anna! They are both fantastic! I love the frog! You shaped it so well, and the Mystery Tess is amazing! Great job!!
I would rather fail trying than fail without trying....

Re: What have you folded lately?
something I designed a while ago, but I am very proud of.
scorpion varileg.
designed by Nick LaFleur
folded from 12in o-gami
took about 10 hours to fold. what I feel separates this from other scorpion varilegs is that this one is based entirely off of 22.5 degree angles. check out the crease pattern on my flickr page!
edit- 200TH POST!!!!!

Awesome fold!
What kind of paper did you use? What size? Did you paint the model after folding it?

Awesome designs! I especially like the scorpion since I need to get into 22.5 designing more.eteokles wrote:Propomacrus cypriacus
And this, my friends, is how I design.

here's a flying grasshopper. it has very similar circle packing to Robert lang's model, but I was able to get a lot more details out of the 22.5 structure.
designed by: Nicholas lafleur.
folded by: myself
folded from: 20in. o-gami
time: about 10 hours.
you can check out the crease pattern on my flickr!
