Re: Human cp
No origami human figure research would be complete without the works of Hojyo Takashi.
Check Meguro Toshiyuki's page and you'll find Takashi's and other human CP's:

I'm working on an archer model. I can post the CP when I finish.

Re: Human cp
Thank you Brimstone and Baltorigamist
The main reason I am doing this is because I want to learn how to design good human designs. all of my previous designs have not worked out as I had hoped so I thought I would study how others do it before I wast more paper trying to design my own designs.

Re: Human cp
Hojyo's base is very versatile and can be accommodated for several different models. Good luck in your quest.

Re: Human cp
Here's a quick tip:
For box-pleated humans, I use a 3-unit head, a 4-unit body, and 8-unit limbs. This allows for shaping to proportions very similar to that of a human.

My tip: you can never have to much paper for the head! it is very easy to run out.
I am also working on something, and can show you when I'm done. It's not box pleated... so I don't know if you'll get any help from it.

Re: Human cp
I am (trying to) fold all types of Cp's so that I can see how others have done it. Thanks for the advice!

Re: Human cp
I find it helpful to fold the head, hands, feet, and other detailed things on separate pieces of paper first to see how much space each will take up. Then, you can chunk out the required space and put the rivers around them.
Also, I am trying to design a figure skater this way. If anybody has one already please show me.
