Tomasz, your Ryujin 3.5 fold is amazing! How much time did it take you? Your last one looked awesome but this one looks stronger :D.

Damian, excellent fold and photo of Biernacki's African Elephant.

Baltorigamist, why is it called a Splatter Mask?

Scorpion 2.4, pretty cool. I'm working on photo-diagrams for my Colombian Triangular Bypiramid. It's made from a single banknote :).

-sebl- cool models. Are you now also making kirigami?

This is my fold of Paper Dragon, which is a variation by Mark Kennedy of Robert Neale's model.

Hope you like it :).

Gerardo -> They were used in WWI (I think) to protect soldiers from shrapnel.

And my next few models will be among my most complex yet.

Mermaid
Image
It's been long that I am experimenting with a girl cp that I designed long ago
for a ballerina. And from that cp, with alterations, I came up with lots and
lots of different female models.
But, I wanted to create a mermaid too. Influenced by Eric Vigier's mermaid,
I asked him if I can use part of his model and incorporate it to mine.
He gave me the OK, so I did use the part that connects the fish-tail to the body.
And it worked nicely I guess.
Folded from a rectangle of Kozo paper treated with methyl cellulose.

First off is the Loggerhead Sea Turtle by Satoshi Kamiya
ImageOrigami Loggerhead Turtle by levivillarreal, on Flickr

This Model was the most fun I've ever had while making origami. The way the shell is made is exquisite.

Nazgul 8.1 by Jason Ku
ImageOrigami Nazgul by levivillarreal, on Flickr

This model was a lot easier to fold than I thought it would be. However, there is not many references for a lot of the folds, so it is hard to fold precisely. With the paper I used, the front legs could barely support the model.

Grizzly Bear by Quentin Trollop
ImageOrigami Grizzly Bear by levivillarreal, on Flickr

This was a fairly simple model to fold, but took long to shape.

Icarus by Hojyo Takashi
ImageOrigami Icarus by levivillarreal, on Flickr

This was another fun model to fold, although getting it to balance on one knee was quite a feat.

Bull Moose by Robert J. Lang
ImageOrigami Bull Moose by levivillarreal, on Flickr

This model was quite a lot harder than I anticipated. Also the moose turned out really thick, especially in the legs. I ended up having to glue the legs to get them to stay in place, which was a bummer.

Eagle by Nguyen Hung Cuong
ImageOrigami Eagle by levivillarreal, on Flickr

This model was fairly difficult to fold, especially the wings. It didn't turn out as well as I hoped, but I am going to fold it again eventually, hopefully with better results.

Ceberus by Satoshi Kamiya
ImageOrigami Ceberus by levivillarreal, on Flickr

This was another model that was a lot easier than I expected. However, the front legs took some time to fold.

Lyrebird by Satoshi Kamiya
ImageOrigami Lyrebird by levivillarreal, on Flickr

This model was about as hard as expected, but the "tail" just took ages to fold!

I've had a lot of time/paper to fold lately, and it's been great.I'm super proud of all of these models, because I've always admired them, and would have never been able to fold them a month ago. Sorry that all of them are white, I just bought one roll of white paper, and wasn't going to waste any of it.
