Blossoming flower help

Post by fuggigal1 »

Hi, new here. I have a question on how to fold this flower.

It looks somewhat like my friend's, but he just don't wish to tell me how to fold it ... so I'm here! I'll try to take a photo of his flower and put it up here. I remember it's something like the wings of a crane. In the same way the flower in the pic is like. But he folded 5 petals, just like a normal paper folded into 5 "Crane-wings" and he bent them. Looks very preety. If anyone can help, please.

are you sure he started with a square ?

maybe he used a pentagon...

Since this is my model I probably should reply.
Basically what you do for this model is to fold all 4 sides to the middle, forming preliminary folds at the corners.
Then bring this new square into a bird-base like shape, and open out the petals similar as in most of my other flower designs.

And don't forget that the bottom of the flower looks nice as well :-)

This model is on my list of "yet to be diagrammed" models, so if you are patient....

I guess you could use the same folding sequence using a pentagon to get 5 leafs.
So long and keep folding ^_^
