Re: Birdbase, Dragons
What a beautiful paper! Also, love the detail on the tail's tip.
Have you checked if you've inadvertently repeated exactly the same dragon among all the ones you've folded and posted? Just being curious .

Re: Birdbase, Dragons
Thanks! It is pre cut scrap-booking paper from a craft store. Yes I make it a point not to post the same ones on this thread. My idea was to show how continuously making small adjustments over time can make an impact on what you're folding. Many of them look very similar and the modifications might not be apparent but if you stack enough on top of each other you end up with something dramatically different. I haven't given any details about individual models on this thread but if anyone is curious and ever has questions about a specific model or anything at all, I'd be happy to answer to the best of my ability.Gerardo wrote:What a beautiful paper! Dang, that colour-change one is awesome! I really love these dragon designs, they somehow manage to be original even after riffing off the same base for so long.

Re: Birdbase, Dragons
Thank you Folderp! That is much appreciated.
I think a lot of designers have the ability to know what they want to do ahead of time and can plan it out. For me, it is mostly one tug on the paper at a time and see what I end up with. Sometimes there are flashes of insight or inspired ideas to aim for but those are rare moments.
More than anything I want people who are reading this to understand if you are struggling with coming up with something original or origami in general, those skills and final outcomes will evolve over time if you just keep at it and dont give up.
