I don't think Brimstone meant any offense with that comment. If ever, I'd see it as a comical response to your comment about Hojyo Takashi.

Anyway, like what others said, some folds are really not practical to diagram. And even if you try to diagram them, chances are the diagram will not really be helpful or would require a lot of wordy explanations.

Some of the CP's I've encountered (or at least...those I had interest in folding) usually collapsed into its base in just 1 fluid step! In other words, from the flat CP to the intial collapsed base, you don't get any "intermediate" state. To diagram such a thing would be near impossible...(Better if there was some kind of flash animation for this instead).

i just looked at the cp for god of thunder and how the heck am i even suppose to start this thing? I don't even know what dimensions the paper needs to be. Its all in japanese.

I notice that this model is made by box pleating but i have no idea how to get the reference points.

Well, you can start of by counting to see that the grid needed is a 64x64 grid, which is actually quite easy to fold (if your paper is large enough).
And when you are done with the grid you just need to count to see where the diagonals are supposed to be.
As with most boxpleated designs the base is probably not so hard to achieve, but turning it into a representable model takes quite some time and experience.

It's just half of the CP since it's symmetrical along the middle line. That way the CP could be displayed bigger on the page.

one of the models i would like to fold is the violinist. i know that diagrams for it were given to JOAS members. Does anyone here who has the diagrams, willing to sell a copy to me?

can someone show me pictures of the collapse process for the god of thunder? I want to see partial collapsing of the cp to get an idea what im suppose to do. anyone here willing to fold the base of this model? I just want to see how it is done.

I don't know japanese so i do not know what all the labels next to the corners of the cp mean.

i just tried to do the cp for the shikabaru. Thanks to artur, i was able to do the pre-creasing. But i have no idea how to collapse the center area of the paper. this is really tiresome.

I was thinking about ordering all of the tanteidan mags with Takashi's cps in it. But seeing how i cannot collapse the base of the shikabaru, i am not even sure if it is even worth the money.

I may be a bit late in saying this, but even my simple little diagrams for my man and my rabbit took hours trying to figure out how to make it so that people can understand! Diagrams are never easy, don't insult someone just because they don't wan't to spend hours (days, weeks, even months!) making a book full of complex diagrams.

That wouldn't help much, because collapsing the base is the easier part of getting the model done.

Takashi's bases are like Kamiya's in a sense. I tried so hard to shape the Cerberus base into the final model, but I eventually gave up!
