Phil made one that was smaller, but I didn't have such great detail.

That one I folded from a six inch peice of "american fiol origami paper" from OUSA, which is thicker than the japanese foil so it looks pretty bad. This one I folded from 10 inch (25x25cm) inch lokta tissue foil looks a little better (not as good as the one in the photo Chris posted though) and I added pleats to the belly.

In that tiny dragon (and Icarus), what kind of paper is that?

It looks like clay...

Oh man!
He must have used a pair of Jeweller's magnifying goggles to have been able to fold the dragon head details.

....or he must have access to Willy Wonka's teleporter machine. Heheheh..

Hi Phil

I love the way you choose colour for the Dragons, especially the blue and green ones. It's very refreshing from the traditional red and black dragon images.

Anyway, Please everyone notice this: If you want to post your Ancient Dragon to Kamiya's board. please follow this link

http://www.folders.jp/cgi-bin/jn/joyful ... %95%D4%90M

(This is "Reply")

If you the link Konan 767 provided then you will be "starting a new topic".

Best regards.

Does anyone know what kind of paper that little dragon that Chris posted was folded out of?
Lots of people seem to fold with it.

I'd like to post my ancient dragons to Kamiya's board, but I don't understand Japanese and I'd rather not make a post that's wrong. Do I load the image from my pc by using the "browse" button at that link? What is supposed to go in the other fields?

The only way you can get it is by purchasing 'Works of Satoshi Kamiya', which has the diagrams for a lot (but definitely not all) of his best work, including his ancient dragon. It's slightly expensive but well worth it.
You probably will have to order it online.
