Top 10 Reasons Why You SHOULD Fold Money

Post by My Funny Money »

Hey guys,

I'm working on my squidoo page (for moneygami) and I was trying to come up with a clever top ten list. But, I guess I'm just not in the mood and can't come up with anything good. I know some of you out there are pretty funny, so feel free to throw some ideas at me. Or, better yet, just give me your own funny top ten list about origami. If I like it, I'll be sure to put it on my lens page and give you credit for it. Thanks!

It's cheaper per sheet than Origamido paper.

Not quite. It costs $1200 to make a batch. But a batch has much more than one sheet. Probably closer to 100 sheets.

Lol, I guess my fingers weren't on the same page as what I was thinking. That is still a bunch! Have you ever bought that paper?

I bought a sheet at the 07 OUSA convention-it was $8.00, but the sheets are like 12" by 24" or something. Anyway, I am going to have to slap myself for posting this but here goes...

Folding money gives our founding fathers a much needed makeover.

Nope, you have to get it in person. Also, I don't exactly have that much money to spend on paper. (poor college student, etc.)

I have, however, bought (but not used) paper that is even more expensive. $15 a sheet. Though since it's larger than the Origamido (21.5" x 30" as opposed to 16" x 20") it's about the same price for surface area. It's colored gampi from Hiromi Paper International (I think--if I remember correctly. Otherwise it's kozo)

Here's a link: http://www.hiromipaper.com/store/produc ... 256&page=2

I bought it in the store in Santa Monica, not online. I believe it's the same stuff that Ben Muller uses. He told me about it.

One of these days I'll get brave enough to fold it. I have two sheets of white and one of red. I don't remember completely, but I think that I have red and white of gampi and a white kozo.
